This beautifully handcrafted individually wood turned bird house has been lovingly made by myself in my Devon workshop using only timber from the surrounding woodland in the historic village of Clovelly. In accordance with RSPB recommendations, the hole is 30mm in diameter, it has an internal drop of 110mm for the safety of the young and the inside is left rough to aid there exit. The bottom has a drain hole and is removable for annual cleaning. It measures approximately 28cm’s tall and the top is approximately 19cm’s at it’s wides point.
The outsides are weather proofed with Tung oil but the insides are not finished as the birds dont like it. The body of this house is made from Sweet Chestnut and the top is Ash. Please note:- These Bird Houses are Hand Made to order and therefore the wood may differ slightly in colour/species from those pictured, however the quality will remain at the same high standard level.
